Enable Cookies



1. On the Internet Explorer Tools Menu, click Internet Options

2. On the Privacy Tab, select a privacy level of Medium or lower

3. Click OK

 

Enable JavaScript



1. On the Internet Explorer Tools Menu, click Internet Options

2. On the Security Tab, click Internet

3. On the Security Tab, click Custom Level

4. Under Active Scripting, select Enable

5. Click OK, and then Click Yes when prompted to accept the settings

6. Click OK

 

Set Screen Resolution

 

1. Click Start

2. Click Control Panel

3. Double-click Display

4. Click the Settings tab

5. Move the Screen resolution slider until the resolution is set to 1024 X 768

6. Click OK

7. Click Yes when prompted to accept the screen settings

 

  Disable Pop-up Blocking

 

The following instructions apply to disabling pop-up blocking for computers that are running Internet Explorer version 6 with pop-up blocking enabled. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions if you are using a different browser or if you have other pop-up blocker software installed on your computer.

 

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. On the Tools menu, point to Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.

3. In the Address or Web site to allow box type the address *.nw.org

4. Click Add button

5. A new line that contains *.nw.org should appear in the Allowed sites list

6. Click Close to exit the Pop-up Settings screen

 

 

  Instructions for Un-mute Sound

 

The following instructions are for un-muting computer speakers for Windows XP.

 

1. Click Start

2. Select Control Panel.

3. Double Click Sounds and Audio Devices

4. In Device Volume: Uncheck Mute and Check Place Volume Icon in the task bar

5. In Speaker Settings :Click Speaker Volume, Slide Indicators should be in the middle and Click OK

6. Click Apply and OK

7. Bottom Right corner of task bar should display the Volume Icon now

8. Double-click Volume Icon

9. Adjust Slide Indicators in the Master Volume screen for sound.

 

The following instructions are for un-muting computer speakers for Windows Vista.

 

1. Click Start.

2. Select Control Panel.

3. Click Hardware & Sound.

4. Click hyperlink System Volume.

5. Adjust Slide Indicators for speaker volume.

NOTE: Speakers or headphones are required for e-learning.
